How much do you know about the kiwi and the skin benefits that you can obtain from using it directly onto your skin? probably not much which is why you're here. For starters the kiwi holds a high amount of antioxidants like vitamin A, C, and E.
These three vitamins play a very significant role in keeping your skin in optimum health. The kiwi is ranked high in vitamin C content right up there with oranges and strawberries. A copious amount of collagen is produced in the skin from the vitamin C that the kiwi provides, leaving the skin supple and plump.

Overcome Premature Aging
As we age, our skin is susceptible to thinning out and we experience the loss of elasticity over time through a process called elastosis. Elastosis brings about many signs of aging, including wrinkling and sagging of the skin. The kiwi fruit is also a source of antioxidants that can protect the skin from free radicals, one of the main causes of premature aging. Kiwi can help prevent the signs of aging and improve skin elasticity and the moisture within the skin.
In order for your body to produce collagen, it needs vitamin C to convert proline and amino acids into hydroxyproline which is why the kiwi fruit is so important.
Vitamin C is very important for our skin, because without it our bodies will not be able to get collagen.
Benefits of Tamarind on skin
Tamarind is the heart of many savory dishes, sauces, and curries one of my personal favorites is a Philippine dish called Sinigang. But did you know that apart from having a tangy and zesty taste, it is also extremely beneficial for your skin? Yup, that’s right! and luckily for you and I, we can make these face packs and masks with this all natural ingredient.
1. Tamarind pulp is rich in AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), which are known for their exfoliating properties, also AHA removes the dead skin cells and rejuvenates your skin. Corn flour removes the dirt and unclogs the pores, while the kiwi brightens your skin and reduces the dark spots resulting in an even skin tone.
2. Turmeric contains curcumin that clears the skin and kills bacteria. The antioxidants that are present in turmeric and tamarind reduce blemishes, the signs of aging, and the dark spots, plus brightens the skin producing fairer skin.
I am sure you didn’t know that this modest tamarind had such awe inspiring powers to make your skin glow. Now, the next question is, how can you use this fruit to reap the maximum benefits? Well, here’s how..
1/2 tbsp masked kiwi
1/2 tbsp tamarind paste
2 tbsp of applesauce
Corn flour as needed
Mix the applesauce, kiwi, & tamarind paste in a bowl. Add enough corn flour to the mixture until you get a thick paste. Apply the exotic mixture to your face. Leave on for 30 minutes, rinse paste off thoroughly with cold water.
