1. Watch your mouth!

Pay attention to how you speak to yourself, and how it makes you feel. Don’t contribute to tearing yourself down, when they’re so many others in this world, that’s more than willing to do that for you for nothing. Stop comparing yourself to others, especially to people that you like and admire. This is always a losing proposition. Comparing yourself to others usually always ends badly with you talking down to yourself in your head! To feel inferior or superior is normal, what’s not normal is the psychological damage you do to yourself and your relationships with others, because of your feelings of inferiority around the people you admire. That admiration quickly turns into envy and you come off looking like a hater. Don’t be this person. Realize how you treat yourself in your own mind. Get rid of the demeaning and disdainful thoughts and control your mind to produce more positive self-talk.

2. Cleanse your mind!

Measure your current beliefs and values, find out what encourages you to hold on to them. Sometimes culture plays a huge role in what values and beliefs someone has, and that isn’t always an excellent thing. Make sure that your beliefs and values are no one else’s but your own, cleanse your mind of the things that you were taught when you were younger, that‘s no longer working for you. You may have to rewire and reprogram your mind to develop a healthier belief system with an additional set of values. If your current beliefs and values are not serving you for your betterment, then exactly why are you holding onto them?

3. Practice self-care!

Every day you should nurture yourself with good nutrition, an adequate amount of sleep, a decent amount of exercise, and a thriving social life. When you are doing these things properly, you’ll experience maximum energy and a thirst for life, which builds up your self-esteem. Self-esteem and self-love go together like peanut butter and jelly, you can’t possess one without the other. Self-care also means to take part in activities you’re great at, doing this will elevate your sense of self, releasing endorphins that will reveal the best version of yourself.

4. Set boundaries to protect your energy!

ree

Don’t be a people pleaser.  Few people will like the new you because of your fresh attitude for setting the boundaries you need to protect your energy and mental health. They will accuse you of, “acting funny” once you actively identify what is, and what isn’t good for you. When you set boundaries, your vision gets sharper about what you need in your life, and you’ll understand exactly what you don’t need in your life. What you’re willing to accept or not accept in your life becomes more acute. There’s never a reason to tolerate being treated like trash. Surround yourself with positive people who mirror your own self-respect and reputation. This is very important. Design your own lifestyle, live intentionally.

5. Explore your spirituality!

ree

Making sure your spirituality is in harmony with your soul is the foundation for self-love, notice I said spirituality and not religion. There are tons of different religions and I’m not here to say one religion will bring you closer to loving yourself more over the other. When the universe underscores your spirituality, it beautifies your ability to trust, hope and believe. Explore your spirituality through daily mindfulness practices via meditations and prayer, it will take you on a journey of learning some revolutionary aspects about yourself that you could have never fathomed. Use your newfound thoughts, feelings, passions, and raw emotions to make you appreciate yourself for being authentically you. This will enhance your intuition and help you make quality decisions based on your gut. Trust your gut, do not defy it by lying to yourself. When your gut is speaking that is your self-love angel trying to guide you, follow your intuition.

My end goal is to get you to apply these behaviors into your lives daily. Do yourself a favor and start today!

Sending my best,

ArayaHope
